Our Infant Program

At Children's Elite Preschool, our philosophy is that all children, no matter what age, learn best through play and interaction. Our goal is to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment that allows opportunities for discovery. Our role as teachers  is to provide a variety of daily experiences that engage our infants in activities that will help them develop.

To facilitate care, we use daily written reports to keep you informed about your child's day. Upon arrival, we ask details of your child's last feeding, diaper, overall mood and wake up time. This prepares us for a day with your baby. We will track your child's feeding, diaper changes, nap times and any other information we need to communicate to you.

Our Preschool Curriculum

We follow a theme based curriculum at the preschool level. Each week, a new topic is presented for the children to explore and learn about. We also start to introduce basic academics, such as letter, number and shape recognition, as well as language and writing skills. Throughout the day, we expose children to a second and third language, Spanish and French, respectively.

Other learning activities include:

  • Science Week (science projects on the first week of every month)

  • Theater and Puppet Shows

  • Musical Instruments

  • Sports Week (this includes soccer, basketball, yoga, etc)

  • Dancing Class

  • Show N' Tell (last week of every month)

  • Date Night (twice a year, our school has a pizza and movie night, whilst providing parents with the opportunity for a night out)

Transitional Kindergarten Class

We have many programs and learning activities to prepare our children for pre-k. We pay special attention; however, to our 4 and 5 year old learners, as they make their way to kindergarten. Our expectations of them include knowing all letters, geometric shapes and being able to count to at least thirty. We will make sure that they are also able to state first and last name, spell their first name, know spatial relations, as well as have an understanding of what opposite and rhyming words are.
